 We welcome you to our home, built of exotic timbers, right in the heart of Fiordland. You will be able to appreciate the beautiful scenery when you view the landscape from the balconies. House of Wood is conveniently located within a two minute walk of the town centre with shops, restaurants, post office, and just a short walk to the lake.
Cooking and baking has been a part of our business life in the past and we would like to share this with you, through our delicious home-cooked breakfasts and mouth-watering dinners. Our varied interests include golf, fishing and boating and we can help you share these by arrangement. We can offer advice on a number of tours available and can book them for you. Tourist trips will pick up from our gate. We have two mountain bikes available for your use, for those who feel the need for some exercise. The tui and the bellbird are frequent visitors to the house lending a melodious tune to lucky visitors. These birds are nectar eaters and find a smorgasbord of delights among the native flora in our gardens. The tui uses a chamber on its neck to produce some truly delightful songs that you can enjoy during your morning tea. |
